California Unfair Competition Law (UCL)

All states have some form of consumer protection laws.  In California, consumers commonly file actions against corporations under the Consumers Legal Remedies Act (CLRA) and the Unfair Competition Law (UCL).  The allegations are typically that the corporation has made misrepresentations about a product or has engaged in some form of unfair business practice.
